NFL Week 15 National TV map: Will Bengals vs 49ers be on your TV?

New, comments

If you don't live near Cincinnati or San Francisco, the game likely won't be on your television Sunday afternoon.

The Cincinnati Bengals vs San Francisco 49ers game was flexed out of primetime and now is at 4:25 p.m. EST on Sunday. While at one time this was thought to be a matchup of two quarterbacks selected back to back in the second round of the 2011 draft, it's now a matchup of two backups turned starters with Colin Kaepernick on Injured/Reserve due to a shoulder injury and Andy Dalton sidelined with a thumb injury. Those injuries leave AJ McCarron leading the Bengals and Blaine Gabbert leading the 49ers.

As the Steelers vs Broncos game is the featured game on Sunday afternoon, the Bengals vs 49ers game will be televised only in the two hometown markets.

Before the Bengals game is on, there will be many early afternoon games to entertain yourself with. Those in the Cincinnati area will see the Tennessee Titans at New England Patriots game on CBS and the Carolina Panthers at New York Giants game on FOX.

Before any of the Sunday action happens, Thursday Night Football features the Buccaneers at the Rams and there's a Saturday game this weekend between the Jets and Cowboys in Dallas at 8:25 p.m. EST.

Sunday Night Football features the Arizona Cardinals at the Philadelphia Eagles, the game that replaced the Bengals for the primetime slot.

The week ends with the last place team in the NFC North, the Detroit Lions (4-9) at the last place in the NFC South, the New Orleans Saints (5-8) on Monday Night Football. It's sure to be a thriller! But actually, a lot of assumingly bad matchups on Mondays have turned out to be pretty entertaining games.
