Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones is working out -- we presume to motivational songs like Eye of the Tiger while throwing orange-tipped darts at Ben Roethlisberger, Joe Montana and Roger Goodell during his breaks. Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson is broadcasting serious confidence that Jones will resume the production that led to 10 receiving touchdowns in 2013.
Even better news: Jones expects to be ready for offseason workouts in April and in May, when the team practices... per the mothership.
"I’ve got the green light to do anything and everything I need to do to get back to where I need to be," Jones texted via Bengals.com. "I've been surprised at the progress I've made in only going on my second week training and at the rate I’m going I’m sure I will be in game shape very soon."
"My focus is on getting back that muscle memory, lower body explosion , and just getting out there on the field and go all out with no (hiccups) consistently every day," Jones texted.
Jones, who entered training camp with a bum ankle and then broke his foot during his first workout, suffered the season-ending ankle injury during practice in late September. Jones, currently in Culver City (between Los Angeles and Santa Monica... according to Google Maps), will return to Cincinnati next month to resume his rehabilitation.
