The Cincinnati Bengals spoke with linebacker Arthur Moats during the "legal tampering" phase, according to the Steelers linebacker on SiriusXM NFL Radio. Prior to re-signing with Pittsburgh, Moats had also spoken to the Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons.

A former sixth-round pick in the 2010 NFL draft, Moats played four seasons with the Buffalo Bills before signing a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 24, 2014. He signed a three-year extension worth $7.5 million over the weekend. During his first season with the Steelers, Moats set a career-high with four quarterback sacks and two forces fumbles -- but a career low in tackles (23).
The Bengals are making an effort to rebuild their depth at linebacker, re-signing Rey Maualuga and handing a second-round tender to Emmanuel Lamur. In addition to that, the Bengals interviewed A.J. Hawk on Monday. Linebacker depth is a priority, obviously.
