With so much going on, sometimes we're bound to miss a few notes.
During their announcement on Wednesday that confirmed Clint Boling returning and the A.J. Hawk signing, the Bengals also confirmed that Eric Winston will be back this season. Winston had originally announced that he was returning via twitter on Tuesday, which wasn't confirmed or substantiated until the team made their announcement on Wednesday. Both sides have been talking since January about getting a deal done.
According to multiple reports, Winston's one-year deal is worth $870,000 with $80,000 and $200,000 in playing time incentives.
Winston, who is a ninth-year player this season, joined the Bengals in December last year when Andre Smith suffered a triceps tear against the Houston Texans and backup tackle Marshall Newhouse struggled as his replacement. Clint Boling even started at right tackle once to help alleviate those issues while Winston was getting ready to become the team's starting right tackle during the last three regular season games.
Winston has played for the Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs and the Arizona Cardinals.
