Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still and daughter Leah will be featured on World New Tonight on the Friday evening showing. Still is being honored as the show's person of the week.
Devon will be on the show to talk about Leah's battle with pediatric cancer, and how it's taken the nation by storm since her diagnosis last summer. This will be just the latest chapter in what's been a wild week for Devon.
Still re-signed with the Bengals on Thursday morning, just days after he reported progress in his four-year-old daughter's fight with cancer. After several surgeries to remove a cancerous tumor from her stomach, Leah has undergone many rounds of chemotherapy and stem-cell treatments. On Tuesday, Still announced via Instagram that doctors didn't "see any active disease" in Leah's body.
"We still have to wait for her MRI and bone biopsy results later this week," Still wrote in the caption of a picture showing him and Leah flexing their muscles. Still did say that doctors haven't yet said she's cancer-free, but they "feel very optimistic" that that could soon be the case.
You can watch Devon's appearance on World News Tonight by tuning into ABC at 6:30 pm ET.
