Bengals attend NFL Veteran Combine

The Bengals could look to fill out their offseason roster with some minimum-salary players, so it only makes sense that they were represented at the NFL Veteran Combine.

Per Geoff Hobson, Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin and Steven Radicevic, their West Coast scout, were in attendance for the combine that was made to help former NFL players earn one more shot with a team if they have the ability to.

"We always have a ready list and we can go back and tweak it off of this," Tobin said. "We’ve already got game tape on every player, so this is just a chance to see who’s in shape, who’s ready to go, and if there is anybody that catches the eye. If they’re going to be here working out, we’re going to be here watching."

The NFL is conducting its inaugural Veteran Combine today at the Arizona Cardinals Practice Facility in Tempe, Arizona. At the event, players are tested and evaluated by experienced NFL scouting personnel. Measurements, combine results, and videos of the workouts will be compiled and shared electronically with all 32 NFL clubs.

Notable players attending the event included running back Michael Bush, defensive end/linebacker Michael Sam, defensive end Jamaal Anderson and running back Felix Jones.
