Rex Ryan may have found his starting quarterback for 2015.
The Bills announced they have agreed to terms on a trade with the Vikings that will send two undisclosed draft choices to Minnesota in exchange for quarterback Matt Cassel plus another undisclosed draft pick.
This comes just one day after a reported trade that would send linebacker Kiko Alonso to Philadelphia for All-Pro running back LeSean McCoy. It's clear that Buffalo is trying to go all-in on becoming a playoff team in 2015. Cassel will now challenge EJ Manuel for the starting QB gig for the Bills.
Cassel, 32, is a 10-year veteran who spent the last two seasons with Minnesota making nine starts. He completed almost 60 percent of his passes with 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
In his career, Cassel has thrown for close to 16,000 yards with 96 touchdowns, 70 interceptions and a passer rating of 80.1.
