We're now less than a week from the start of NFL free agency, and the Bengals have still not been able to re-sign any of their key players whose contracts are expiring.
Tight end Jermaine Gresham and guard Clint Boling are the two biggest names set to hit the market, and both have played key roles in helping Cincinnati make four straight playoff appearances.
Pro Football Focus' top 75 free agents only features one Bengals player, and it's Boling:
29. Clint Boling, Offensive Guard: Boling’s game picked up again in the second half of 2014, a full year past the ACL tear he suffered the season before.
However, Gresham was not part of the list, which is kind of surprising. While he's been an enigma during his time in Cincinnati, he's still made a good case to be one of the 75 best guys hitting the market.
Virgil Green, who has 23 career receptions for 206 yards and one score, made the list over Gresham. I get he's not a great tight end or teammate, but he's still one of the best 75 players hitting free agency.
Then again, maybe this is another reason to not feel bad when he signs elsewhere this offseason.
