On Wednesday, the Bengals will be hosting 25 draft-eligible players at the team's annual local players' workout.
NFL teams are permitted to annually invite draft prospects who played their high school and/or college careers in the team's area. The workouts will be conducted in the morning, and several prospect who should hear their names called during the draft will be working out at Paul Brown Stadium.
The most notable guy is Texas linebacker Jordan Hicks. Hicks was a Second Team All-Big 12 selection in 2014 after leading the Longhorns in tackles with 147 to go with 3.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss and a pair of interceptions. Injuries ended his seasons prematurely in both 2012 and 2013, leading to him earning a fifth-year medial redshirt season in 2014.
His injuries explain why most draft services have him pegged as a high Day 3 pick. In addition to Hicks, Michigan State pass-rusher Marcus Rush will also be at PBS on Wednesday. The Bengals have already hosted the former Moeller High School product. He too is projected as a Day 3 pick.
