NFL Power Rankings 2015: Pre-Draft Edition

There's no real argument against teams like the Patriots, Seahawks and Packers being on top.

With the NFL Draft just over two weeks away, CBS Sports' Pete Prisco did some pre-draft power rankings.

Coming in at No. 10 were the Cincincinnati Bengals following a 10-5-1 campaign last year and a productive offseason thus far. However, that ranking was only good enough for third place in the AFC North, as the Bengals fall behind the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens:

7 There aren't a lot of holes, but they need to get better in the secondary. It will be interesting to see what Marc Trestman does as the new offensive coordinator. (7)
9 They gave Ben Roethlisberger a long-term deal, which was the right thing to do. If they get better around him, they will contend again. 1(8)
10 Getting Michael Johnson back on defense will help. Now they have to get the offense healthy to help Andy Dalton. 2(12)

I really don't understand how you justify putting the Ravens ahead of the Bengals. Unless Cincinnati strikes out on all of their draft picks while Baltimore hits multiple home runs, the Ravens are just not a better team, as last year's sweep indicated.

But whatever. I like this ranking. It gives the Bengals some of the respect they deserve, but basically spits on it by putting them as the third best team in their own division. The Bengals seem to do better when they're not getting much respect anyway.

As for the top teams, there's no real argument against the Patriots, Seahawks and Packers being on top. The Cardinals at No. 6 seems way too high, while the Chiefs at No. 20 and Bills at No. 23 seem absurdly low. Both won nine games and barley missed out on the playoffs last year, and only got better this offseason.

What are your thoughts on Prisco's rankings?
