Dorial Green-Beckham was once viewed as the best receiver in college football and a sure-fired first-rounder in whatever draft he entered.
That was at Missouri, before he was kicked off the team for an ugly domestic violence incident. He later transferred to Oklahoma and sat out this past season due to NCAA transfer rules, but still opted to declare for the 2015 draft.
Now, Ian Rapoport reports the Bengals are one of several teams he's visited:
Ex-#Mizzou WR Dorial Green-Beckham spent yesterday visiting with the #Bengals, source said. Recently was with #49ers, too. No. 21 & No. 15— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) April 17, 2015
Bengals Mock: Missouri WR Dorial Green-Beckham
According to one mock draft, the Bengals will draft Missouri WR Dorial Green-Beckham. And that reminds me why everyone is still ignoring the Bengals' revised and public opinion on character flags.
A 6-foot-6, 225 pounds freak, DGB is listed by some services as a first-round prospect, and some mocks have had him going to Cincinnati at pick No. 21.
If he had no off-field concerns, he'd easily be one of the two or three best receiver prospects in this year's draft. While at Missouri in 2013, Green-Beckham had 59 catches for 883 yards and 12 touchdowns. He averaged 15 yards per catch and was named to the AP All-SEC second-team. In his freshman year, he had 28 catches for 395 yards and five touchdowns.
I seriously doubt DGB is the pick at No. 21, but if the Bengals trade down in the first round, he becomes a possible, but still unlikely target. I really don't think Cincinnati considers him unless he's still on the board in the second round.
