SBN Mock Draft: Bengals stick with OT Andrus Peat

SB Nation continues championing an offensive or defensive lineman for the Bengals at No. 21. This week, in their final Monday mock draft of the year, it's Stanford offensive tackle Andrus Peat.

With just three full days until the 2015 NFL Draft, the guys at SB Nation have a new mock out, featuring a familiar name, if you've been paying attention to mock drafts. With the 21st pick, Cincinnati selects Stanford offensive tackle Andrus Peat:

In the final days leading up to the draft, Peat is a hot name. Reports are out that the New York Jets could covet him and that he'll get selected higher than players like Scherff or Collins. In Peat, the Bengals would be getting a tackle who could eventually replace Andrew Whitworth on the left and immediately take over the right side from Andre Smith.

Cincinnati has often been attached to Peat in random mock drafts, largely based on the assumption that Cincinnati would get a replacement for Andrew Whitworth and/or Andre Smith, were either not to be resigned for the 2016 season. We're fairly confident that Whitworth will retire as a Bengals player and that if the Bengals try to re-sign Smith, it won't cost that much.

The Bengals put Peat through 15 minutes worth of drills following Stanford's Pro Day last month.

The idea of Peat reaching Cincinnati could be hard to fathom -- especially if pre-draft reports are to be believed.
