The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they signed Washington State defensive tackle Toni Pole on Sunday. Pole attended Cincinnati's rookie minicamp on a tryout basis after playing 46 collegiate games at Washington State. During his four-year career, he posted 76 tackles and four quarterback sacks (none in 2014) and secured an interception in overtime that led to a game-winning field goal and a win over Washington in the 2012 Apple Cup.
+ Highlights of his career: During the 2012 Apple Cup, Pole intercepted Washington quarterback Keith Price in overtime. He returned the interception 60 yards, but fell short of scoring the touchdown. Washington State beat Washington 31-28 on a game-winning field goal. Pole also blocked a USC field goal, preserving a 10-7 win against the Trojans in 2013.
+ Pole participated in the 2015 NFLPA Bowl game and generated a quarterback hurry.
+ He was cited for providing false information to police in 2013. Per SB Nation's Washington State website Coug Center, police responded to a noise complaint and Pole provided a false name and birth date. When police returned that same night for a second complaint, one of the officers recognized Pole and cited him for providing false information. Those wacky college kids.
