Chris Jasperse agrees to deal with Bengals, per report

The Bengals love keeping versatile lineman, and Chris Jasperse played both guard and center at a high level for Marshall.

The Cincinnati Bengals have reportedly agreed to a deal with Marshall center Chris Jasperse.

The 6'3", 292-pound Jasperse was one of the best lineman in Conference USA over the past two years. Per the school's website, Jasperse, a two-time All-Conference USA first team selection by league coaches at center, played 4,040 career snaps, which led all 2014 active FBS offensive linemen.

He also started every game in his Marshall career (53) since being redshirted as a walk-on in 2010, which is an FBS-level school record. That's impressive at any level of college football. It wasn't just center Jasperse played though. He started multiple games at guard during his career, and was even a participant in the 2015 Senior Bowl.

Jasperse will likely get looks at both guard and center in training camp. The Bengals love keeping versatile lineman, even on the practice squad. Thus far, Jasperse looks like one of the better undrafted free agents the Bengals have snagged.
