Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict is in Cincinnati, participating during the team's OTA on Tuesday. Unlike most of his teammates, Burfict is working on the side with fellow linebacker Sean Porter.

Burfict's story is well-chronicled. After undergoing microfracture surgery in January, Burfict's timeline has been insanely fluid. It's encouraging that he's seen working on the side with trainers as he continues to make the long road back into the defensive lineup.
Porter, a former fourth-round pick in the 2013 NFL draft, suffered a season-ending knee surgery during his NFL debut last season during the opening kickoff against the Patriots. This was a follow up to his rookie year, which ended with a season-ending torn labrum during training camp.
