Remaining Bengals and NFL Offseason Dates

The 2015 NFL regular season doesn't open for three more months and between now and then, there are several important offseason dates for the Bengals and the rest of the NFL.

Here's a look at the rest of the need-to-know dates for Cincinnati and the rest of the league:

Bengals Offseason Dates

May 26-28, June 2-4, June 8-11: Organized Team Activities

June 16-18: Mandatory veteran minicamp

Late July: Start of Training Camp

August 14: Bengals' first preseason game against New York Giants

Other NFL Offseason Dates

June 1:

• Deadline for prior club to send "June 1 Tender" to its unsigned Unrestricted Free Agents. If the player has not signed a contract with a club by July 22 or the first scheduled day of the first NFL training camp, whichever is later, he may negotiate or sign a contract from that date until the Tuesday following the 10th weekend of the regular season, at 4:00 p.m., New York time, only with his prior club.
• Deadline for prior club to send "June 1 Tender" to its unsigned Restricted Free Agents who received a qualifying offer for a Right of First Refusal Only in order for such player to be subject to the CBA's "June 15 Tender" provision.

June 15: Deadline for club to withdraw qualifying offer to Restricted Free Agents and still retain exclusive negotiating rights by substituting "June 15 Tender" of one-year contract at 110 percent of the player's prior-year Paragraph 5 Salary (with all other terms of his prior-year contract carried forward unchanged).

June 21-27: Rookie symposium in Aurora, Ohio

July 15: At 4:00 p.m. (ET), deadline for any club that designated a Franchise Player to sign such player to a multi-year contract or extension. After this date, the player may sign only a one-year contract with his prior club for the 2015 season, and such contract cannot be extended until after the club's last regular season game.

August 8: Hall of Fame Class of 2015 Induction Ceremony; Tom Benson Stadium; Canton, Ohio

August 9: Hall of Fame Game: Minnesota Vikings vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

August: 12: Deadline for under-contract players to report to earn a season of free-agency credit; unsigned rookies acquired in the draft that have not signed by this date may not be traded to another club in 2015

August 13-15: First full preseason weekend.

September 1: Roster cutdown deadline to maximum of 75 players (4 p.m. EST)

September 5: Roster cutdown deadline to maximum of 53 players (6 p.m. EST)

September 6: Teams may begin to establish eight-man practice squads at noon EST.

September 10: 96th NFL Regular Season begins with New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

September 13-14: Kickoff Weekend: first Sunday-Monday regular-season games
