If every NFL team could have their pick of taking a player from the Bengals' roster, who would all 32 franchises want?
ESPN Insider and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik formed a list of NFL players who every team would want calling them a "32-team free agents."
To make Dominik's list, players had to be free agents in 2016, cannot have major durability or red flags that might cause teams to rule out signing them. That knocks out Vontaze Burfict (microfracture surgery), Geno Atkins (previously torn ACL), The players also had to have the ability to perform in any team's scheme. Talent, youth and versatility are also important factors for making this list.
Under these criteria, Domink tabbed A.J. Green as the only Bengal to make the list:
He (Green) is an exceptional vertical wide receiver. He can run past coverage and knows how to high-point the football with his big hands to come down with tough catches.
Another Bengals player I think deserved to be on this list, or at least be recognized with some sort of 'honorable mention', is George Iloka. Iloka also rose to Pro Bowl-caliber safety status in his third year in the NFL, and he should be even better in his fourth year, which will also be a contract year.
