The Baltimore Ravens still don't know what they'll get from Dennis Pitta in 2015.
They still aren't sure Pitta will play this year after suffering a major hip injury in 2014, the second he's had in two years. Pitta has maintained this offseason that he hopes to return, even getting on the field for a few OTA workouts.
However, Baltimore has yet to clear him for this week's minicamp, per The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson:
Dennis Pitta hasn't been cleared to practice so that's why he's not out there at this minicamp has to be cleared by doctors
— Aaron Wilson (@RavensInsider) June 16, 2015
Considering Pitta suffered his most recent injury last September, it's not a good sign he's not even being cleared for a minicamp practice almost nine months later. Pitta hasn't been himself since Baltimore's championship year of 2012 when he had 669 yards and seven scores on 61 catches. He was an integral part of their postseason run that year, but it seems as injuries have cost Pitta most of his prime years.
Whether it costs him his career remains to be seen.
