Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton will participate in the Legends and Celebrity Softball Game, according to Paul Dehner Jr. with the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Andy Dalton will participate in ASG celeb softball event. Everyone will take this as the minor piece of non-polarizing news it is, right?

Well, that makes sense. Dalton. Cincinnati. Celebrity. The 2015 All Star game and All Star festivities are taking place in Cincinnati this year. According to the press release on MLB.com, the legends and celebrity softball game doesn't include Dalton's name... so we're not exactly sure in what capacity Dalton is taking part.
Maybe his participation was kept under wraps, not unlike WWE stars showing up to help a buddy who was ambushed by a couple of dastardly heals. Maybe Dalton was asked to join like he was in the Pro Bowl, as an alternate. We're just guessing at this stage.
Other Cincinnati players/personalities playing in the Celebrity All Star softball game include Aaron Boone, Sean Casey, Eric Davis and Paul O'Neill. Nick Lachey, Snoop Dogg and Jennie Finch are also taking part.
The game is usually tape delayed by ESPN and broadcast after the Home Run Derby.
