Want to get tackled by A.J. Hawk? Line up

New, comment

AJ Hawk is a dangerous man, even on the golf course.

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

For the second year in a row, A.J. Hawk was asked by a fan to be tackled at the American Century Championship Golf Tournament.

After laying out a fan at the same event last year, Hawk was asked to do it again this year, and unfortunately for one unlucky (or lucky, depending on who you ask) fan, the Bengals linebacker obliged. This time though, the cameras were ready and caught Hawk spearing the guy and breaking a sprinkler in the process:

The inside backer signed with Cincinnati this offseason after a productive career in Green Bay. He holds the Packers' record for tackles with 1,118 tackles during his nine-year run in Green Bay. Hawk was the fifth overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft.

The Bengals are now hoping the former Ohio State Buckeyes All-American has enough left in the tank to be a contributor in Cincinnati for a team looking to add to its linebacker corps.
