Pat Matson and Eddie Edwards highlight the list of former Bengals to wear No. 73. Currently, Eric Winston reps the jersey number.

The Bengals don't have a strong history with the No. 73, but the one man who did wear the number for 11 seasons was one of the best to ever play in Cincinnati.

Eddie Edwards came out of University of Miami as an All-American defensive end when Cincinnati used the third-overall pick in the 1977 NFL Draft on him. Spending his entire career in a Bengals uniform, Edwards went on to register 83.5 sacks across 11 seasons, which remains the all-time franchise record.

Here is a complete list of the former Bengals who wore No. 73:

Pat Matson ..................... 1968-74

Eddie Edwards ............... 1977-88

Ken Moyer ...................... 1989-94

Brian DeMarco................ 1999

Richmond Webb ............. 2001-02

Anthony Collins............... 2008-13

Eric Winston.................... 2014-15

Before Edwards, Pat Matson wore No. 73 while starting 59 games at right guard across seven seasons while playing in 90 total games. Sadly, Watson's post-football life has been full of surgeries and financial struggles.

After Matson and Edwards, Ken Moyer played six seasons in Cincinnati while starting in 38 games at center. It wasn't until 2008 that another Bengal would wear No. 73 for more than two seasons. That's when Anthony Collins came in and played in 59 games (25 starts) as a backup tackle for six seasons with the Bengals.

Now, Eric Winston wears the number and after joining the team in the middle of the 2014 season, it's likely he will again make the roster in 2015 and continue his reign of the No. 73.
