Coley Harvey's latest Bengals 53-man roster projection
ESPN Bengals beat writer Coley Harvey takes his latest stab at projecting the Bengals' final 53-man roster will look like. He has Mario Alford and Denarius Moore making it at WR with Brandon Tate getting cut. Harvey also has veteran DT Pat Sims being cut, which would be a big surprise as this stage. Defensive tackle was arguably Cincinnati's weakness last year, and Sims was a solid role player with Cincinnati from 2008-12 before leaving for Oakland. I'd love to see Devon Still make it as much as anyone, but his performance on the field just hasn't been as good as Sims.
Bengals recall memorable 2005 squad
Butch Hobson gathers some of the most notable players from the 2005 team to recall that memorable year. T.J. Houshmandzadeh, John Thornton, Chad Johnson, Marvin Lewis, and Carson Palmer are among those to reflect on that team and the lasting impact it had on Cincinnati.
Braxton Miller's move a boost to his NFL potential
Ohio State QB Braxton Miller recently revealed he'll play WR and H-back this year for the Buckeyes. That's a big boost for his NFL stock since he wasn't going to make it as a QB in pro football.
PFF analyzes Gunners vs Vises
Normally on special teams, the first men down the field on a punt are the gunners, who are trying to make a tackle and, more importantly, ensure the return doesn’t get outside of them. The job of the vice is to slow down the gunners on punts. Pro Football Focus analyzed some of the best gunners and vices in the NFL, which includes former Bengal Jeromy Miles.
The NFL's grittiest defensive role players
SB Nation's Danny Kelly takes a look at the NFL's grittiest role players on defense. Bengals FS George Iloka makes the list. Even though he hasn't played a down of NFL football, Bengals rookie LB Paul Dawson seems like a perfect fit for this list.
ESPN Bengals training camp preview
Coley Harvey takes a look at what to expect from the Bengals when training camp opens for them later this week. He actually has H-back Ryan Hewitt on the bubble watch, so maybe he's not as much of a lock as has been made out to be.
