As the Bengals hit the field for Day 2 of training camp, several notable players were not able to practice for various reasons.
Pro Bowl linebacker Vontaze Burfict was still not on either the practice field or rehab field as he continues to rehab from offseason microfracture surgery. It would be concerning that he's not even out on the rehab field, but the Bengals are most likely just keeping his rehab behind the scenes and out of the public eye.
As for middle linebacker Rey Maualuga, he was present on the rehab field as he remains on the NFI list with an undisclosed injury. He should be back fairly soon as his injury is not believed to be serious.
Andrew Whitworth also got a veteran's rest day off while rookie Jake Fisher took his spot at left tackle:
Looks like Andrew Whitworth is going to have a vet day off. Going through stretching, but no jersey on. Still no Vontaze Burfict #Bengals

Linebacker Sean Porter and defensive end Margus Hunt were also seen on the rehab field as they work to come off the PUP list.
