Bengals v Giants: Rex Burkhead questionable with neck injury

With over eight minutes remaining in the second quarter, Cincinnati announced that running back Rex Burkhead had suffered a neck injury and is questionable to return.

Trying to track down when he actually suffered the injury, we're rewound our trusty DVR to the 9:12 mark in the quarter second; the play after his 15-yard gain that placed Cincinnati on their own 35-yard line.

Burkhead peeled out of a pile after a two-yard gain, reaching the 37-yard line. Rather than coming out, Burkhead remained for the next three plays, including two runs and after each carry, he walked back to the huddle moving his head around in an obvious attempt to stretch his neck.

Backup running back Cedric Peerman replaced him, but suffered a knee injury several plays later. He too is listed as questionable. James Wilder Jr. took over and powered through the line of scrimmage to give Cincinnati a 17-7 lead with 4:44 remaining in the first half.
