The Bengals' third day of training camp got off to a rough start when Michael Johnson went down with a knee injury. It was a scary sight as MJ went down grabbing his knee in pain before walking gingerly to a cart that drove him off the field.

There's been no official update on Johnson's status, but the Bengals are cautiously optimistic it isn't serious:
Marvin Lewis says that right now it looks like Michael Johnson "will be OK." He'll still have evaluations. #Bengals

Mohamed Sanu has had a good showing at camp thus far, and that continued on day 3 with him making several nice grabs:

A.J. Green has also had a good camp thus far, but that's no surprise given he's one of the game's best. He had some good battles against veteran corner Adam Jones today:

After preventing A.J. Green from catching a pass, Adam Jones turned to sideline and jokingly challenged fans after that play. #Bengals

Rex Burkhead and Leon Hall had a few nice matchups when Rex was lined up in the slot with Hall lining up at safety:

Pro bowl linebacker Vontaze Burfict continues to not only practice, but still hasn't even present on the rehab field to this point:
Honest answer? Imagine they don't want people to see him and perhaps unintentionally raise hopes in his return https://t.co/ZbhpDTAM1T
— Coley Harvey (@ColeyHarvey) August 2, 2015
With the space on the inside of stadium, Vontaze Burfict can work out there. Also can always work out outdoors before practice starts.

Onterio McCalebb did not have a good day working at wide receiver after moving there from cornerback earlier this offseason.
Onterio McCalebb. Yeah, had a rough time catching since move to WR in the spring. https://t.co/UJpiRdObHr

Jake Kumerow continued his impressive camp with another good showing today, highlighted by a deep bomb he hauled in.
After CBs owned WRs yesterday, safe to say WRs got em back today. A.J. Green with 2 nice catches on Adam Jones. Jake Kumerow had a 1-hander
— Coley Harvey (@ColeyHarvey) August 2, 2015
Jake Kumerow had an incredible one handed catch on a 45 yd go route past Josh Shaw. Good throw by McCarron.
— Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 2, 2015
Dre Kirkpatrick had a couple nice breakups in 1on1s and Tyler Eifert made a nice catch with a defender draped all over him
— Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 2, 2015
On the ground, Jeremy Hill had a few nice runs, but the defense responded with a several good plays of their own:

James Wilder Jr. tries to turn the corner but it's well defended by Peko, Iloka and others https://t.co/s2v2MypEly
— Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 2, 2015
The player who struggled the most was probably AJ McCarron. He's had an up-and-down camp to this point, but it was mostly down today, but did make a few nice throws towards the end of practice:

— Richard Skinner (@Local12Skinny) August 2, 2015
With respect to AJ McCarron's outside throws, seemed like a mix of him throwing ball too quick/hard, and WRs coming out of breaks too slowly
— Coley Harvey (@ColeyHarvey) August 2, 2015
AJ McCarron is overthrowing a lot of balls here in drills. Sailing balls high and out of bounds on sideline routes

McCarron climbs the pocket and completes deep corner route to Mario Alford https://t.co/Zmyjyuk5c2

Here are some of the other best Tweets to come out of Day 3, which include rookie LB P.J. Dawson making several nice plays:
Dawson reads this screen to Tyler Eifert very well. Eifert fumbles it and Dawson picked it up after the vid... https://t.co/LgbfCj1k6Y

Rookie LB P.J. Dawson has stood out this practice. Looked strong in run support and recovered the Eifert fumble immediately. #Bengals

Paul Dawson had a nice run stop on Gio Bernard where he essentially stopped Gio's momentum and threw him backwards with one arm
