Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis was far more optimistic during a post-practice lockerroom session when discussing Michael Johnson's injury.
According to reports, initial examinations didn't show damage. Lewis told reporters on Sunday that reports were positive and he believes Johnson will be alright. Defensive end Wallace Gilberry, who suffered a minor hamstring injury toward the end of practice, concurred.
On more than one occasion, Bengals.com beat writer Geoff Hobson has hinted a possible sprained MCL, adding that a recovery time for that injury would take 4-6 weeks.
