The Cincinnati Bengals are back in action this week when they hit the road to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football.
Cincinnati opened the preseason with a 23-10 over the New York Giants. Tampa Bay suffered a 26-16 loss in their preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
It was a rough debut for Bucs QB Jameis Winston, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Winston completed just nine of his 19 passes for 131 yards with no touchdowns while throwing an interception and taking two sacks. He'll get a good test against a Bengals defense that features one of the league's best secondaries from 2014.
As for the Bengals, the real story to watch will be the NFL debut of AJ McCarron. A fifth-round pick out of Alabama in the 2014 draft, McCarron has yet to even appear in a preseason game in his first two seasons after an arm injury cost him most of his rookie campaign. However, McCarron has done so well in OTAs and camp that the Bengals currently have him as the No. 2 QB behind Andy Dalton.
With this being both team's second preseason game, expect to see the starters and primary backups for much of the first half. Week 2 of the preseason tends to see teams leave their starters in for 3-5 series before pulling them. That means we should see Dalton, A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, Jeremy Hill, and Geno Atkins for about a 1-1.5 quarters.
As for how to watch this game, it will be nationally broadcast on ESPN. If you want to catch it online, you can do so via the Watch ESPN app on your computer or mobile device.
