Bengals have quick turnaround for remaining preseason games

What to expect from the Bengals' practice schedule this week as they prepare for a Saturday night game against the Chicago Bears at 7 p.m.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Bengals have a quick turnaround between Monday night's less than flattering second preseason game in primetime and Saturday night's third preseason game against the Bears at 7:30 p.m.

While some Bengals players utilized their down time today by working out at Paul Brown Stadium and others received rehab and treatment on nicks and bruises, the team did have Tuesday off. They typically have each day that follows a game off. With training camp now over, the Bengals' practices going forward are closed to the public and less information will be flowing out of Paul Brown Stadium than in past weeks.

Coley Harvey detailed how he expects the rest of the week to play out and what you should expect from the Bengals this week before Saturday night's game. Wednesday will feature the Bengals' most important practice of the week and likely some not-so-fun film review from Monday night. Marvin Lewis will also hold his weekly Wednesday news conference, during which he'll probably crack some jokes and avoid questions regarding the Bengals' Monday night game.

TUESDAY

Players had a previously scheduled off day. Those who require treatment following the loss will receive it.

WEDNESDAY

After the off day, the Bengals have a full slate of meetings, interview sessions and practice. Coach Marvin Lewis also will hold his weekly news conference. The lone practice session will be the Bengals' most strenuous workout of the week.

THURSDAY

For now, it appears the Bengals will hold their typical game week walk-through on this day. With a Saturday game, Thursday effectively becomes Friday this week. The Friday practices are where the Bengals usually go over their last bit of pre-game install in a lower speed practice session.

FRIDAY

Like Tuesday, there is no media access on this day as the team prepares for its game.

SATURDAY

Preseason Game 3 vs. the Bears, Paul Brown Stadium, 7:30 p.m. ET.

Following the upcoming Saturday night game, the Bengals will again have a short week to prepare for their final game of the preseason, which will take place on Thursday, September 3 at 7 p.m. The game will come two days after the team narrows down their roster to just 75 men. The team's final cutdown will follow two days later on September 5th, at which point the Bengals will be left with their 53-man roster.
