Onterio McCalebb on crutches with leg injury

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Last night, Geoff Hobson reported that wide receiver Onterio McCalebb was sitting out during parts of the Bengals' third day of training camp with "what looked to be a knee problem."

Now, Coley Harvey is confirming the news from Paul Brown Stadium where he has spotted McCalebb on crutches.

Since going undrafted out of Auburn in 2013, McCalebb has had a rough road with the Bengals. He started out as a cornerback, despite playing running back in college. And during OTAs and now in training camp, McCalebb has switched positions again to wide receiver, in what appears to be a last-ditch effort to make the team.

McCalebb's development has been slow and being on crutches won't help his chances of making the Bengals' final roster. Dropping passes, as he did in camp yesterday also won't help his cause. We'll continue to update you as more information becomes available on McCalebb's injury.
