For the fourth consecutive practice, the Bengals hit the field without the services of Marvin Jones.
The fourth-year receiver continues to be held out of training camp while dealing what some have called "leg soreness" and others have referred to as a hamstring injury. Yeah, it's hard to see an NFL player missing four days of practice due to any kind of soreness. Jones is coming off a 2014 season where foot and ankle injuries knocked him out for the year, but he claimed he's 100 percent healthy earlier this offseason.
Perhaps Jones had some sort of setback that the Bengals are now being ultra-conservative with to ensure it's not another lost season for arguably their second-best pass-catcher.
Also being held out Friday night was cornerback Adam Jones, who is getting a veteran's rest day off. Defensive end Sam Montgomery and wide receiver Onterio McCalebb were also held out.
Defensive end Michael Johnson, tackle Cedric Ogbuehi, and linebacker Rey Maualuga were also held out as expected; Ogbuehi and Maualuga are on the NFI and PUP list respectively. There's still no update on what Maualuga's actual injury is or how much longer it will keep him out.

Marvin Jones appears to be working on the side too.

Looks like Sam Montgomery and Adam Jones are among those not practicing. Pacman may just have a vet day off #Bengals
