New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz isn't expected to practice this week when Cincinnati hosts the Giants for joint practices on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"I know I'm not going to do anything against Cincinnati throughout practice," Cruz said via Jordan Raanan with NJ.com. "I'll just do the stuff that we do (individuals on our end). They don't want me to get over-competitive and go out there and do something crazy."

Cruz, also expected to sit out against the Bengals during the preseason opener this Friday, is recovering from a torn patellar tendon. According to the report, Cruz has participated during every practice this summer, but New York, as well as Cruz, are approaching the situation with caution.

Cornerback Prince Amukamara, recovering from a recent groin injury, isn't expected to travel to Cincinnati.

Along with hosting practices on Aug. 11 and Aug. 12, the Bengals will host New York this Friday for each team's preseason opener at Paul Brown Stadium.
