Bengals vs Raiders: Inactive List

The Cincinnati Bengals are scheduled to kickoff their regular season opener at 4:25 p.m (ET) in Oakland. The team released their active gameday roster.

While the active NFL roster consists of 53 players, teams are only allowed to dress 46 players for their active gameday roster. Per league rules, teams need to declare their inactive list 90 minutes before their scheduled kickoff. Cincinnati just announced their inactives for Week 1 against the Raiders:

  • WR Greg Little
  • WR Mario Alford
  • DE Marcus Hardison
  • CB Josh Shaw
  • TE C.J. Uzomah
  • DT Brandon Thompson
  • DE Margus Hunt

We don't need to hold your collective hand with Cincinnati only carrying four wide receivers on Sunday with Mario Alford and Greg Little listed as inactive. You can thank Rex Burkhead's contribution as a slot receiver for this. Michael Johnson, who spent most of training camp and the preseason with a bum knee, will start on Sunday while defensive end Margus Hunt and defensive tackle Brandon Thompson are scratched for the active Pat Sims and Chris Carter.
