Week 4 of the 2015 NFL preseason features 16 games on Thursday night as this is the final week of warm-up football before the regular season begins.
The final week of the preseason often features primarily backups and fringe roster players who are competing for those fine 10-15 spots on their respective teams' 53-man rosters. This typically means we see very little, if any at all of the starters.
Don't expect to see guys like Adrian Peterson, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Calvin Johnson, Peyton Manning, or A.J. Green this week. However, we should still see some of the big-name rookies like Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Melvin Gordon, and Amari Cooper as they look to get one final tune-up before their first regular-season NFL games.
National Games
As for the national games on TV, the first game on the NFL Network features the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the New York Jets. This game will be huge for Eagles QBs Tim Tebow and Matt Barkley who are fighting for the third QB spot on Philly's 53-man roster.
Following this game will be the San Francisco 49ers and San Diego Chargers facing off on the NFL Network. It's been a rough preseason for Chargers rookie RB Melvin Gordon, and he'll look to end the preseason on a high note heading into the regular season. The No. 15 pick in this year's NFL draft out of Wisconsin is a trendy pick for the NFL Rookie of the Year as he looks to claim the No. 1 RB spot for a Chargers team poised for a winning season and possible playoff berth.
If you want to watch any of these games online, you still have to use NFL Game Pass, which is $99.99 for the season. Game Pass includes all NFL Preseason live streams, but only replays of the regular season games; it is available on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and will be coming to Xbox, and Apple TV.
If you want to catch any of these games on TV, there's several channels the games will be on, depending on where you live. Be sure to check out 506sports.com for full listings in surrounding areas.
