Running back Giovani Bernard is one of three players nominated for the weekly FedEx Ground Player of the Week. Bernard, who replaced the fumble-prone Jeremy Hill as Cincinnati's feature back midway through the third quarter, generated 123 yards rushing and 139 yards from scrimmage during the Bengals 24-19 win over the San Diego Chargers.
Despite not scoring a touchdown, Bernard was instrumental in helping Cincinnati clear nearly nine minutes in the fourth quarter.
You can vote for Bernard here -- make sure to vote often and spread the word (in honor of campaign season, let's stuff some ballots).
Joining Bernard for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week are Redskins running back Matt Jones (who rushed for 123 yards on 19 carries, scoring two touchdowns during Washington's 24-10 win over the St. Louis Rams) and Vikings running back Adrian Peterson who had 134 yards rushing on 29 carries in Minnesota's 26-16 win over the Detroit Lions.
