The New York Giants play host to the Washington Redskins to kick off Week 3 in a classic NFC East rivalry game.
Neither team has gotten off to the kind of start they'd hoped for this year, especially when you consider they could/should be undefeated coming into this game. The Giants have blown a pair of double-digit fourth-quarter leads to the Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons thanks to terrible clock management and boneheaded mistakes on offense.
Washington did at least beat the St. Louis Rams last week after blowing their Week 1 game against the Miami Dolphins. Washington was in control for most of the game as they outplayed Miami, but Jarvis Landry's fourth-quarter punt-return touchdown gave Miami a narrow 17-10 win. Washington did rebound nicely though with a 24-10 shellacking of the Rams in Week 2.
The good news for both teams is the NFC East is still very much up for grabs with the Philadelphia Eagles' 0-2 start and the Dallas Cowboys losing both Tony Romo and Dez Bryant for about eight games each. This may end up being the worst division in football, but, it may end up being the more fun to watch and most competitive division race the NFL has this season.
