The Bengals hit the practice field today to prepare for their matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. A few Bengals who got banged up on Sunday didn't participate including George Iloka, Adam Jones, Dre Kirkpatrick and Andre Smith.
Iloka removed himself from play on Sunday with an ankle injury, Jones played through an elbow injury, Kirkpatrick played through a shoulder injury and Smith wasn't noticeably hurt on Sunday but after a buttocks injury last week, he now is listed with a hip injury. Jones was apparently running around in sweats, so it's likely he'll be back tomorrow, or Friday at the latest. We're not worried about his status for Sunday. The same goes for Kirkpatrick. Iloka though will be the player to keep an eye on as the week progresses. His injury initially came in Week 1 in Oakland and has lingered since.
The best news of the day is about rookie Marcus Hardison who had his first full participation in a regular season practice today after a knee injury has kept him out since the practices heading into Week 1. Will Hardison get on the field for some gameday action this week? Time will tell, but he'll probably remain inactive for the foreseeable future, according to Geoff Hobson. Keep a look out tomorrow for our updated injury report.
