NFL Week 6 Bengals at Patriots: Wednesday practice and injury report includes A.J. Green

The Bengals saw some key players sitting at practice, meanwhile, the Patriots had 12 players limited and three who didn't practice on Wednesday.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The Bengals saw four starters sit out on Wednesday when they held their first practice in preparation for the Patriots game on Sunday in Foxborough.

Tyler Eifert was not at practice as he continues to deal with back and ankle injuries. It's unclear if Eifert will play this Sunday, but, it was reported "there's a chance" he returns against the Patriots.

A.J. Green was at practice but did not participate due to a calf injury. Green left the Cowboys game in the fourth quarter and limped off the field. I wouldn't jump to conclusions about Green, yet. We'll need to see if he practices tomorrow. Of course, playing without Green would be a huge loss for the Bengals.

Clint Boling was at practice but didn't practice due to his shoulder injury, which was suffered in Week 4 during the Dolphins game. Boling was limited last week with the same injury but did play 100% of offensive snaps in Dallas.

Karlos Dansby was at practice but likely received a veteran's rest day, as the team reported his day off was not injury related.

Getting in limited practices on Wednesday were Jeremy Hill (chest), C.J. Uzomah (ankle), George Iloka (shoulder) and Rex Burkhead (hamstring). All four played in Week 5 and only Hill left the game with an injury, the same injury he suffered the week prior against the Dolphins. It's a good sign that Hill was practicing today and the team is likely taking it easy with him leading up to this Sunday's game.

James Wright, who missed Week 5 with a hamstring injury, was back at practice as a full participant on Wednesday. That's a good sign he will play on Sunday against the Patriots.

As for the Patriots, they had a slew of limited players on Wednesday and three players who didn't practice. Starting linebacker Jonathan Freeny and starting right guard Shaq Mason were among the non-participants. Mason's absence was not injury related.

Here's the Wednesday practice and injury report for both teams.
