The Chargers have proven to be one of the NFL's most confusing teams, giving up huge leads at a pace that's unmatched in the NFL. Obviously, that's not a good thing. Tonight, they'll take on their division rival Denver Broncos for a Thursday Night Football showdown on NFL Network, CBS, and Twitter.
The game will also be available to stream on SB Nation!
Denver is 4-1 heading into the game after losing to the surprisingly good Falcons in Week 5. San Diego has the inverse record of 1-4 and sports a coach who's certainly on the hot seat in Mike McCoy.
The Chargers and Broncos couldn’t be more different as San Diego is led by veteran quarterback Philip Rivers and the Broncos are led by Trevor Siemian, who's in his first year as a starter. In last May's draft, the Broncos had the final pick as the defending Super Bowl champions, while the Chargers had the third overall pick, which they used on Joey Bosa. The offseason went relatively smoothly for the Broncos, despite their quarterback battle, while for the Chargers, the offseason was anything but smooth as the front office got into a heated battle with Bosa, while trying to negotiate his rookie contract.
After missing much of the offseason due to that contract debate, Bosa has only played in one game so far this year, which was last Sunday's game against the Raiders; the Chargers lost the game but, Bosa did have 5 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 stuff, making his impact and presence known.
