The opening odds for the Bengals at Cowboys game on Sunday have Dallas as the favorites to win at home.
Led by rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, the Cowboys are exceeding expectations so far this year, especially considering they are without quarterback Tony Romo. That will again be the case in Week 5 when the Bengals travel to Dallas for a 4:25 p.m. ET game.
BookMaker.eu has the Cowboys as 1-point favorites and have set a point total of 45.5 points. Westgate and Wynn both have the Cowboys as 1-point favorites.
Both teams are coming off wins over average to below average teams as the Cowboys beat the 49ers in Week 4 while the Bengals beat the Dolphins on Thursday, thus giving them 10 days to regroup and prepare for Dallas. So far this year, the Cowboys have lost by 1 to the Giants, and beat the Redskins, Bears and 49ers. Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott has been key in those wins, as has Prescott who has yet to throw an interception. Elliott currently leads the league in rushing yards and the Bengals will need to limit his impact in order to win.
The Bengals will be looking to sport a winning record for the first time since Week 1 by the time Week 5 ends. They have wins over the Jets and Dolphins sandwiched between losses to the Steelers and Broncos. This could be the week that Tyler Eifert returns, which should offer a nice boost to the Bengals’ offense.
