The Bengals are pretty healthy heading into Week 10 but one defensive starter sat out from practice with an injury while a number of other defensive players were limited.

The Bengals were hard at work on Thursday as they prepared for their matchup with the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. The team's official practices this week will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It won't be until the weekend when the Bengals give injury designations for the game.

But, on Thursday news broke that Rey Maualuga is dealing with a fibula injury and that he's not expected to play this week. Varying reports, including one from the Dayton Daily News, say he could be out for longer than just one week.

Also sitting on Thursday for the Bengals were James Wright and Domata Peko. Wright is dealing with a hamstring injury while Peko's reason for sitting was not injury related. It seems strange that he'd need a rest day after just getting a full week off, but, it's possible he was getting a veteran's rest day off.

Vontaze Burfict, Michael Johnson and Pat Sims were all limited on Thursday with injuries. Burfict left Week 8's matchup in London with a knee injury but he's listed as having a thigh injury now. I'd expect him to play. Johnson is dealing with a calf injury and sat out on Tuesday. It looks like he's trending in the right direction and should play on Monday. Sims has been on the injury report with great frequency this year, always with a different injury. This week, it's a rib injury.

The Giants are pretty healthy with just five players on their injury report, including their backup quarterback. But, one of those players is guard Justin Pugh who had been having a great season until a knee injury knocked him out of last week's game against the Eagles. He's expected to miss a few weeks and will not play on Monday night. PFF has Pugh ranked as their highest-graded left guard in the NFL. His absence will be a big loss for a Giants offensive line that has been much improved since last year.

The oft-injured Victor Cruz is also on the injury report with an ankle injury. Cruz expressed optimism regarding playing in Week 10 earlier this week.

Here's the Thursday practice and injury report for both teams.
