Tecmo Bowl Futures: Cincinnati Bengals at New York Giants

You can go anywhere on the web and find what the experts think the outcome of any game will be. I have my own expert. She was born in 1991 and has had my heart ever since. Her name? Tecmo Super Bowl.

The Bengals left a sour taste in the mouths of their fans when they limped into the bye week. We all know the track record of Cincinnati coming out of a bye, so the Bengals have their work cut out for them on Monday night. We once again turn to Tecmo to see how our Cincinnati cats will play this week.

The Giants come out moving the ball through the air and Odell Beckham Jr. finds some room for a huge gain.

However, the passing game stalls and the Giants receivers can’t seem to get open.

New York settles for a long field goal try.

It’s no good.

Cincinnati runs the ball into the line three consecutive plays and punts. Not a good start on the road.

Sterling Shepard takes an Eli Manning pass a long way to set the Giants up with great field position.

Then, Manning finds Beckham for the score.

The Bengals need an answer and lean on Jeremy Hill, he delivers with a long run.

Then Andy Dalton finds Tyler Eifert in the end zone to even the score.

At the end of the first, the game is tied at 7 a piece.

Vontaze Burfict begins to make his presence known as he sacks Manning.

The Giants are forced to punt.

Once again, A.J. Green punishes the opposing team. He gets open and takes a pass to the 1 yard line where he is caught.

Jeremy Hill easily finishes the drive.

The Giants have no answer as the clock runs out on the first half.

The Bengals lead 14 - 7 at the midpoint.

You have to cover A.J. Green. Once again he takes the ball to the 1.

And, once again, Hill punches it in.

The Giants have no answer. A couple incompletions and they are punting again.

An excellent punt return sets the Bengals up deep in Giants territory. The Bengals use Jeremy Hill in short yardage again as he scores.

The Bengals kick is fumbled by the Giants and they are stopped at the 11 yard line. Cincinnati blitzes everyone and gets to Manning for the sack in the end zone.

At the end of the third, the Bengals are cruising to a 30 - 7 lead.

The Bengals move the ball and eat the clock.

A field goal should do it for the Bengals. There is not enough time left for the Giants to mount a comeback.

New York never stops fighting and moves the ball into the Bengals side of the field.

Karlos Dansby ends the drive on a fourth down attempt and the Bengals take over on downs.

So, they fire to Green just to keep fantasy players happy.

The Bengals show up in New York and set the tone for the second half of their season.
