It’s a very interesting and frustrating time to be a Bengals fan. The 2016 season points to both unrealized dreams and potential future success, despite what might be just a blip on the radar. After five straight postseason berths, it might be fair to label Cincinnati fans as spoiled, in a strange way. Then you remember five one-and-done playoff appearances and there’s not much to feel spoiled about.

On this week’s episode of The Orange and Black Insider, we recapped the Bengals’ heartbreaking loss to the Steelers, while also previewing the upcoming Christmas Eve game against the Texans. Given the current state of the Bengals, it’s a bittersweet time because of both looking at the present and the future.

Aside from looking at Weeks 15 and 16, Connor Howe and I also took a crack at answering a couple of other issues with the Bengals. Whether it’s using revisionist history or in looking towards the future, Connor and I gave our best of the Bengals’ 2016 season, as well as what Mike Brown’s 2017 New Year’s resolutions should be.
