The Bengals have had an incredibly disappointing season and enter the final game of the year with a 5-9-1 record.
For the first time in quite a while, the Bengals are favorites to win their upcoming game. That game is an AFC North matchup that means just about nothing. Both the Bengals and Ravens have been eliminated from playoff contention and this game will be for pride and could offer a look at the future.
The Bengals have placed Tyler Eifert and Clint Boling on Injured Reserve. And in the last few days the team has added P.J. Dawson, Jake Kumerow and Trevor Roach from the practice squad to the roster. The team also featured young players on offense in last week’s game in Houston, during which Cody Core was targeted a career-high 14 times, hauling in eight catches.
With nothing to play for, the odds for this game still suggest the Bengals will come away with a win, though, with a slim margin of victory. The opening odds from BookMaker.eu have the Bengals as 2.5 point favorites and the under/over is set at 41.5.
That seems quite high considering the Bengals scored 10 points last week against the Texans and 14 points against the Ravens back in Week 12.
Below are the Week 17 opening odds from BookMaker.eu:
Ravens at Bengals (-2.5, 41.5)
Texans at Titans (-3, 41)
