Bengals Bytes (12/7): Consistency coming

Vontaze Burfict is finally playing with consistency, and the defense is following his lead. The Browns will probably end up with two great first round picks with the Eagles’ poor play in the second half of the season. The accused killer in the Joe McKnight case was arrested Tuesday.

Three Things: BP, McCarron, And The NBA Is What The NFL Isn't.

The Bengals should absolutely be open to dealing AJ this offseason, (There's more on what his value might be here) and I'd be open to working with Cleveland. Yes, they're a division foe. Yes, I know we're all supposed to be in awe of Hue Jackson's coaching ability, and I know there's people reading this who believe that AJ McCarron is merely one good chance at being the next Tom Brady.

Fantasy Recap: Week 13

What a wild and crazy end to the regular season (in fantasy football) this week was. The Ravens passing game erupted; the Bengals showed they are not done this season; the Bears defense put up stud numbers; Dwayne Allen, Dennis Pitta and Tyler Lockett made noise from the fantasy waiver wire; and, Colin Kaepernick took another knee on the sideline, this time due to a benching. All-in-all, it was a spectacular week for football fans!

Cincinnati Bengals RB Hill say Joe McKnight was 'like a folk legend'

Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill didn’t know former NFL running back Joe McKnight on a personal level. The two men were four years apart in age and grew up an hour away from each other in Louisiana. But Hill, like many football players around his age to come out of Louisiana, certainly remembers watching McKnight play at John Curtis Christian High School.

Could Win Over Dolphins Propel Ravens Like 2012 Win Over Giants?

The lopsided victory over the Miami Dolphins Sunday was the best the Ravens have looked all season. Quarterback Joe Flacco was in the zone and spread the ball around to all of his targets. The offensive line gave him time to throw. The Ravens found the end zone rather than settling for field goals. The defense stuffed Miami’s running game and forced three turnovers.

Cleveland Browns could end up with two top-10 picks in 2017 draft

Some good news for the winless Cleveland Browns: The Philadelphia Eagles have lost three in a row and five of their last six. Which means the Browns could have two top-10 picks in next April's NFL draft. Cleveland owns the Eagles' first-round pick as part of the deal that sent the Browns' second overall pick this year to Philadelphia. The Eagles chose quarterback Carson Wentz with the pick, and the Browns acquired draft choices, including Philadelphia's first in 2017.

Roethlisberger Believes Green Understands Backyard-Type Football

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Ladarius Green had a career day in the team’s Sunday win over the New York Giants and it included him catching 6 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. One of those six catches came on a 3rd and 7 play late in the first quarter and it resulted in a gain of 37 yards. That play really impressed quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

One of Coughlin’s mandates as New York Giants coach was that everything ran five minutes ahead of schedule. Tom Coughlin and the Jacksonville Jaguars reportedly are interested in a reunion.
