The Bengals give Andy Dalton a new nickname, and they start free agency off with re-signing a familiar face. Bill Barnwell shows us what it would look like if the NFL added a 33rd team.

Bengals head coach has noticed improvement at UK
LEXINGTON, Ky. --- Kentucky may not have featured a first-round prospect like Bud Dupree or a third-round prospect like Za’Darius Smith at its 2016 pro day, but Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis could still tell a difference in the caliber of players the program is producing.

View from both sides
This week last year, just before the beginning of free agency, we ranked former defensive tackle John Thornton as the Bengals’ third best free-agent signing of all-time behind only right guard Bobbie Williams and cornerback Terence Newman.

Bengals give Andy Dalton new nickname for offseason: 'The Interpreter'
Change, change and now more change for Andy Dalton. For the third time in his career, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback has to get acclimated to the strategy, playcalling and personality of a new offensive coordinator. The previous two times he was a young player, still learning his way in the NFL. Although his ideas were heard, he often had to defer to the wishes of his lead offensive assistants.

Cincinnati Bengals open free agency by re-signing WR Brandon Tate
At least one Cincinnati Bengals free agent has re-signed. Reserve wideout and kick return specialist Brandon Tate re-signed with the Bengals on Friday afternoon to signal the start to the 2016 free-agency period for the franchise. The Bengals have 13 other unrestricted free agents in need of contracts once the new league year begins next Wednesday. He was signed to a one-year deal.

Falcons apologize after asking prospect if ‘he liked men’
The Falcons issued an apology to a prospect for an inappropriate and possibly homophobic question he was asked recently at the NFL scouting combine. One coach asked Ohio State prospect Eli Apple if "he like men." The prospect was caught off guard and went public with the story.

Andre Johnson latest one-season blunder at WR for Indianapolis Colts
Three seasons. Three veteran receivers. And all three failed to last more than a season with the Indianapolis Colts. Veteran Andre Johnson became the latest receiver to sign with the Colts, not live up to expectations and last only a season when he was told Friday that he would be released by the team, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported.

Building a new NFL team through the expansion draft
It has been 14 years since the NFL last conducted an expansion draft. In 2002, the Houston Texans came into existence with a draft that didn't go particularly well. Their first pick, Jaguars tackle Tony Boselli, never played a down for the franchise. The Texans did find a Pro Bowler in defensive tackle Gary Walker, but otherwise, it was mostly a reflection of just how difficult it can be to build a football team out of spare parts and bad contracts.

Watch: Police Video of LB Terrell Suggs' Arrest in Arizona
Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs told police officers that he was tired and he fell asleep, causing him to run his white BMW over a curb and into a wall early Friday morning in Scottsdale, Ariz. He was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident.

Police Investigating Knife Allegedly Found on O.J. Simpson's Property
The Los Angeles Police Department is conducting an investigation into a knife reportedly found buried on the former estate of O.J. Simpson. TMZ reported that a construction worker found the folding buck knife and turned it over to an LAPD cop, though the timeline of the exchange is unclear. The officer reportedly maintained possession of it until earlier this year, when it was turned over and is now being tested for hair and fingerprints, according to TMZ.

Free-Agent Matchmaker: Perfect Fits for Brock Osweiler, Mario Williams and More!
NFL free agency sure was a rousing success in 2015!  Ndamukong Suh's signing with the Dolphins turned out to be…expensive and disappointing. DeMarco Murray to the Eagles? All smiles, Valentines and Super Bowls! The Jaguars signed Julius Thomas and were rewarded with 46 of the quietest catches a third-place team in a bad division could hope for.

Hue Jackson can’t wait to spend more time with QB prospects
The Browns have the second overall pick of the draft and a need for a quarterback that stretches back as long as the team’s been back in the league, two things that can be linked closely to the arrival of Hue Jackson as the team’s new head coach this offseason.

Cam Newton and Rob Gronkowski getting shows on Nickelodeon
Maybe since they’re co-workers now, Spongebob Squarepants can give Cam Newton some tips about having a positive attitude when things go wrong. And he can also go pick up Rob Gronkowski after a long night, since he’s been spending plenty of time around Bikini Bottom himself these days.
