2016 Cincy Jungle Community NFL Mock Draft: Atlanta Falcons select...

Will Darron Lee be the second OSU player drafted?

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

With the 17th pick in the Cincy Jungle Community NFL Mock Draft, Atlanta Falcons GM, RMK selects...

Darron Lee, linebacker, Ohio State University

With Sheldon Rankins, Shaq Lawson, and Leonard Floyd off the board, ideally the Falcons would trade down and add picks. Since there are no trades in this mock though, the Falcons will select Darron Lee out of OSU.

Dan Quinn was hired because the Falcons' defense needed to improve to keep pace in the NFC South. With two good corners in Robert Alford and Desmond Trufant, and a promising young pass rusher in Vic Beasley, their biggest needs lie in the center of the defense, where there are plenty of players available this draft to help them.

In the end I chose Darron Lee due to his ability to play sideline-to-sideline and his impressive coverage ability at the linebacker position. His upside compares to Lavonte David, but he'll need to improve on his tackling form and perhaps bulk up to succeed in the NFL.

Also considered: Noah Spence, Andrew Billings, Jarran Reed, Vernon Butler, Jaylon Smith, Karl Joseph
