With the first pick in the 2016 Cincy Jungle Community NFL Mock Draft, Tennessee Titans GM, Grand Master of Cool, selects...
Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss
With the first overall pick in the draft, the Tennessee Titans have the luxury of choosing from the most elite prospects coming out of college. Many analysts have the Titans deciding between two players: Ole Miss left tackle Laremy Tunsil, and FSU defensive back Jalen Ramsey. Though it was tough to pick between Tunsil and Ramsey, who both would be great picks here, the choice ultimately comes down to circumstance.
Developing a franchise player might just be more important than taking a risk, though small, on a rookie safety. Taylor Lewan, who is the incumbent left tackle entering his third year in Tennessee, is already an above average player at his position, and shouldn't see much production go down if forced to switch to the right side. He would probably be better than any combination of players used at the right tackle position in 2015. And as we all know with Andy Dalton, who has had one of the better offensive lines in the league during his career, a franchise quarterback that is well protected has a chance to grow into something special. Therefore, with the pick of Laremy Tunsil, the Titans would have the opportunity of doing just that.
