With the eighth overall pick in the 2016 Cincy Jungle Community NFL Mock Draft, Philadelphia Eagles GM, IHaveAndyDaltonHair selects....
Vernon Hargreaves, III, cornerback, Florida
The Eagles are in dire need of a corner, seeing as how their #1 corner last season was Byron Maxwell, who had a terrible season, and is now gone to Miami. Now, the Eagles have needs in multiple positions on both sides of the ball. Had Ezekiel Elliott fallen to this pick, I would've taken him, but taking the second best corner instead isn't a bad secondary (no pun intended).
Hargreaves is a great cover corner, especially in man-to-man coverage, and they will be running a similar scheme that Florida ran, a base 4-3 defense with press man coverage across the board. The Eagles have Malcolm Jenkins at safety, a veteran who was a former corner, who can mentor Hargreaves. And along with second year pro Eric Rowe, Hargreaves could be the cornerstone in turning the Eagles' secondary into a force.
Personally, I do like Hargreaves, but I'm not sold on drafting him this high. Since Elliott is already gone, and the Eagles don't have a glaring need at linebacker or along the defensive line, I thought addressing what I believe Philadelphia's biggest positional void is was the right way to go.
