Bengals Bytes (4/8): 'Incredibly unappealing'

New, comments

Reports that the Bengals front office is growing impatient may not have been accurate, and the NFL is experimenting with rule changes by using the CFL. Meanwhile, the Broncos contract offer to Colin Kaepernick appeared to be less than ideal.

Patience a familiar path for Coldwater graduate Wenning
In the NFL, as it was in high school, the starting point of Keith Wenning’s career was patience. Reggie Nelson's departure about Shawn Williams’ rise
Safety Reggie Nelson spent the last six seasons carving a spot in the heart of Bengals coaches and fans. Of course, 23 interceptions and leading the team each of the last two seasons will do that. Ripping off one in each of five consecutive games as he did in 2015 - as well as two more against his primary pick target Ben Roethlisberger - only fanned the fan favorite flames.

The 2016 NFL draft class doesn't feature two Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks at the top like last season's did with Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be excited about this year's class. With this draft set to be dominated by defensive linemen and small-school studs, not many people know as many names as they did last offseason.

Some teams aren’t on board with NFL’s plans to play in China
As the NFL moves forward with its international growth ambitions, a regular-season game in China is expected in 2018. But not every team is on board with that idea.
