The Bengals Drafted Nick Vigil in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft and when his name was announced, most fans collectively said, "who"? Since, Vigil has impressed the coaches and his new teammates alike and while the Bengals have a deep linebacker group, it sounds like Vigil will battle for playing time on defense in 2016.
Here's a look at Vigil from an off-the-field standpoint, to better get to know the Bengals linebacker.
Vigil rides horses, which should be something he can quickly bond with first round pick William Jackson III over. WJ3 is also a long-time horseback rider.
He seems to enjoy the outdoors a lot, as he also is a hunter (something he has in common with Tyler Eifert, who is a big hunter, too).
Vigil is a family man. His older brother Zach played with him at Utah State and now is on the Miami Dolphins.
His younger sister Madeline is starting to impress with her athleticism on the volleyball court, too.
Vigil plays a little golf.
And, it looks like he has some softball experience, too.
Importantly, he's a dog lover.
That pup got big, fast.
Vigil might not be the best at white water rafting...
Vigil is definitely a country boy at heart, so it should be interesting to see how he adjusts to life in Cincinnati.
